As a developer, I had absolute zero customer interaction. Even though it was a small company and a small team, my “C minus 1 or 2″ might as well have been “C minus 100″ because very little of anyone’s customer interaction was shared with the development team. Now, as a consultant, I’m almost always at “C minus zero” and I really enjoy that.

Since much or most of the conductor’s work occurs during rehearsals it would be nice to see a contrast of conductor’s styles in rehearsals. In the last video, Lenny can just stand there and enjoy the music because his work has been done, the players share his vision and know what to do – but only after a lot of rehearsal work. It is in rehearsals that conductors really weave their magic.
